Crazy Trains
If someone
asks me about a thing that I like but which also makes me furious, my ansewer
would definietly be trains. When I say trains I don’t mean the vehicle, of
course, but the whole railway company. Lately they used to advertise themselves
a lot. Advertisement on the TV and on the internet. They invite you to travel
with them and offer excellent condition of the trave;. The problem is that is
not always true. They are often unprepared because of several reasons. The biggest
problem is that the trains are always late. OK, not literally always, but most
of the times, and this is true, not an exaggeration. Other fundamental problem is
the weather. It is always a huge surprise. It’s like they never know when the
autumn or the winter starts.
I can say
that a big part of my free time I spend on the trains. And I always did, since
high school. It’s because I always studied away from my hometown. I don’t have
a driving license so the trains are the perfect and usually only form of
travel. After all this years I even learned how to enjoy the travel by train, how
to not get mad for everything (the crowd, unfavorable conditions of travel) and
how to deal with people who travels with me. It could sound ridiculous for
someone that only a few time was on the train, but people are strange (like Jim
Morrison once said) and you never know what new you’ll have to support.
People are
one the reasons that drives me crazy. Everything starts at the station. There
are the “always late” people, so they run through the station like the patients
of the mental hospital. They don’t want to miss the train so they are ready to
jump over you instead of waist time on asking sorry, for let them pass. There
are also “I don’t know what I’m doing here” people, basicly they stay in the
middle of the station asking for help because they don’t know where to go or
what to do or where buy a ticket and what kind of ticket. The same kind of
people you can easily recognise on the platform because they keep asking “from
where gets the train to Cracow” and if this “is the platform 9 for sure”, like
the number hanging above their heads was invisible. Some of them are adorable in all these akwardness,
and I always help them. It feels good to share the experience and to give good
advices. Maybe because of my kind behaviour and railway tips, someone will
leave the car at home and afford themselves a beautiful view from the train.
Frankly speaking I really like travelling by trains :) but I also don't like "always late" people who are running for their trains
